Services


Daily Prayers

There is regular attendance at each of the daily prayers. However, the Masjid is closed after each prayer for security reasons. See prayer timings for more information.


Jummah (Friday) Prayer and Khutbah

Currently, we are doing two Jummah Khutbahs. The first Jummah service starts at 1:40pm, and the second Jummah service starts at 2:40pm. Both Jummah prayers and Khutbahs are held at the Upstate Islamic Center.


Graveyard services

The Muslim cemetery (Riaz-ul-Jannah) is managed and maintained by the Graveyard Committee of the Islamic Society of Greenville. The cemetery is located on 10 acres of land in Ware Shoals, Laurens County, SC (about 50 miles from the Greenville Masjid on Wade Hampton Blvd.).


Weekend School

Greenville Islamic Society has a weekend school program. This program is targeted for children in grades 1-12. The curriculum is based on three areas of study: Arabic language, Quranic memorization, and Islamic knowledge. The school meets on Sundays from 10:00am to 1:30pm. For more information, click here


Al-Huda Hifz School

Greenville Islamic Society has a Hifz program. Al-Huda Hifz School is managed by Basil Housari and is targeted for boys of all ages. The school meets on Saturdays from Fajr to 9:00am. Every Ramadan, Al-Huda Hifz School organizes the annual Quran competition. The levels for the 2024 competition have been announced and can be found here
